Daily Best High-Yield Savings & Cash Management Accounts — 2026-10-07
The 2026-10-07 review uses official institution disclosures read on 2026-10-07 UTC; comparison pages are used only to discover candidates and cross-check rate direction. Rates are variable unless stated otherwise.
The current high-yield savings shortlist is led by Synchrony High Yield Savings at 3.55% APY, accurate 2026-10-07, followed by Marcus Online Savings at 3.50% as of 2026-10-06. Ally Savings and Capital One 360 Performance Savings are 3.10% with provider dates of 2026-10-06 and 2026-10-07. SoFi is a conditional 3.30% qualifying rate with a temporary path to 4.20%; its standard fallback and date conflict keep it outside the unconditional order. Best-for labels are Synchrony for the highest verified flat base rate, Marcus for same-day external transfers, Ally for savings organization, Capital One for a linked-account setup, and SoFi for bundled checking and savings when qualifying activity is acceptable. American Express remains retained as historical current-unavailable context because it is absent from the current evidence sweep.
The current cash-management comparison is led on base-rate and access balance by Wealthfront Cash at 3.55% APY as of 2026-10-01, followed by Betterment Cash Reserve at 3.50% as of 2026-09-21 and Vanguard Cash Plus at 3.50% as of 2026-10-06. Robinhood Gold Cash shows 3.60% as of 2026-09-17 before its $5 month subscription, Public High-Yield Cash shows 3.30% with no provider as-of date, and Fidelity Cash Management shows a 1.96% FDIC-sweep APY as of 2026-10-05. Fidelity's separate $SPAXX figure is a 3.49% seven-day yield 3.55% effective yield, not a bank APY or FDIC-insured deposit. SoFi remains an adjacent bank-deposit comparator in the savings section, not a sweep-account rank.
The current rows use only the two accepted evidence sweeps. Existing retained rows remain for continuity; a stale, capped, conditional, undated, or structurally different signal is labeled as held or historical rather than presented as an unconditional match.
Best-for labels are use-case designations for portfolio or treasury lead review. Analyst review is due by EOD, and no account opening, funding, funds movement, or other external action is authorized before portfolio or treasury approval.
Official provider disclosures control. Secondary sources corroborate direction only. APY is not converted to fund yield, a fund seven-day yield is not treated as APY, and an unestablished term remains unknown.
Material qualifications remain: Synchrony's agreement, service fees, and numeric transfer terms were not surfaced; SoFi's standard and boost pages carry inconsistent dates and qualifying activity; American Express is not re-verified in the current sweep; CIT and other cross-check leaders remain outside the current rank because of caps, promotions, or dated terms; Wealthfront's 4.45% maximum is conditional and its program-bank coverage begins only after funds arrive; Betterment's program-bank list is dated 2025-10-24; Public's 3.30% display has no provider as-of date; Fidelity's sweep and money-market yields are different instruments; Vanguard's agreement and numeric limits were not readable; Robinhood's coverage figures are dated 2025-01-15; and several current rows have undisclosed transfer caps.
