Candidate K–5 Classroom Reading List

This provisional classroom candidate pairs one literary and one informational text anchor for each grade with a reading-progress measure and a text-specific comprehension task. The K–1 pathway emphasizes foundational skills; Grades 2–5 use oral reading fluency with supplementary comprehension evidence. Title placement, local standards alignment, current benchmark rules, and accessibility remain subject to reading-specialist review. Evidence is labeled from the progress-measures memo AM and text-alignment memo TA , with links to the underlying standards, assessment, publisher, and instructional sources.
